The Maryland Light Brigade joined the National Religious Campaign Against Torture in front of the Capitol on January 27, the eve of President Obama’s State of the Union Address. The interfaith vigil marked five years since the President signed an executive order directing the closure of Guantanamo Bay Prison. Seventy-seven of 155 inmates at Guantanamo are still being held in spite of being cleared for release.
