DC Media Group Delivers the Message: “Don’t Hate the Media, Be the Media”

John Zangas of DC Media Group talks about the wide range of issues our media collective has been covering–from Cove Point and fracking, the war in Iraq, World Cup protests in Brazil to the pending release from jail of Occupy activist Cecily McMillan.

John emphasizes the importance of what happens when people stand up and fight corporate greed, as in the case of Wisconsin residents who weren’t fooled by oil company Enbridge’s “coffee and conversation” hour. Plus, the fact that President Obama was blocked in his effort to launch strikes against Syria last year shows that people will no longer tolerate endless war.

“Since Millennials have been alive, we’ve been in a war. We’ve been habituated to living in a state of war. That needs to change,” John says.
